The Muscogee Rollergirls started off the 2016 season traveling to Gautier, MS to take on the Mississippi Rollergirls on their home turf. MSRG was seeking redemption this time around after a crushing defeat from Muscogee last season. Traveling to play with several new faces in the line up due to the departure of several key players and seasoned veteran skaters, it was anyone’s guess how the night would play out. MRG did not disappoint the fans that traveled to watch the MRG debuts of Pretty Little Fire, Squish, Little Red Riot, and the Smashmatician as well as the return of Splizz and Bish Plz, veteran players who sat out last season. MRG showed up with their well known teamwork in full force and managed to keep MSRG contained to a tie game at the half with a score of 71-71. In the second half, MRG fought hard to keep their lead but lost it to MSRG in the last five minutes of the bout to end with a score of 166-161 in favor of MSRG. It was a very physical game and both teams left it all out on the track. MVP Blocker was awarded to Rythm and Bruise, MVP Jammer went to a new face, Pretty Lil Fire. Their next bout will be April 16th in Greenville, SC where they will take on the Greenville Derby Dames.
