Phenix City, AL (May 4, 2013) – From the starting jam whistle, on Saturday the Muscogee Roller Girls (MRG) got brawled on in a 286-117 loss to the Beach Brawl Sk8r Dolls (BBSD).

Going into the bout it is one thing to know who the best skater on the opposing team is, but a total separate idea on how to stop that skater.  Thus was the case for MRG on Saturday as coming into their contest against BBSD they knew their main threat was that of Jammer Smokin‘ Isis.

Isis was a one-woman wrecking crew hauling in several power jams with some of them going untouched. Offensively, MRG were unable to solve the mystery that was the BBSD blocking crew. Even MRG’s lead jams were often called off immediately with Smokin‘ Isis always being right behind MRG’s jammersJammers ScarChasm & Marie Antagonism had the most consistent success squeezing through the dominant BBSD defense.

Halftime featured a stellar performance from the jam skating sensation: The Bany Boys. Seeing their dance crew inspired performance really rallied the crowd and was enjoyed by everyone.

For BBSD, their win over MRG gives them their 4th straight win overall maintaing their undefeated record.  In two weeks they skate-off against the Marietta Derby Darlins.

MRG drops back to 2-5 and Saturday May 18th they will make their trip to Huntsville, AL to take on the Dixie Derby Girls.

MRG’s next home game is on June 15th. Doors open at 4:30 PM ET and the starting jam whistle blows at 5:00 PM ET at Gr8 Sk8 in Phenix City, AL.
