Phenix City, AL (April 20, 2013) – On Saturday, the Muscogee Roller Girls (MRG) (2-4) ended a two-game losing streak with a 275-67 thrilling victory over Coastal Derby Empire (CDE) in large part to the high number of power jams allowed by CDE. MRG was constantly on the offensive earning lead jam the majority of the time.

At half-time MRG presented Damascus Way with the goods that the skaters, refs, officials, and fans donated to them. This was followed by kids and volunteers having a derby push cart race which the crowd was going crazy for.

In the second period CDE rallied back a few points but could not overcome the commanding lead established by MRG. CDE fielding only 10 skaters for the bout made things tough. With MRG recycling rested skaters, and CDE recycling fatigued skaters, this gave MRG the edge and the victory.

MRG will now enjoy another home bout on May 4th when they host the Beach Brawl Sk8r Dolls (BBSD). Tickets are now available on brownpapertickets.com.
